Storyboard Text

  • Wait, don't just throw that away! Do you know what happens when you just throw stuff away?
  • What do you mean?
  • When you throw things away, sometimes they'll be burned or recycled, but eventually, it will end up in landfills, which are awful for our environment
  • How?
  • In landfills, the waste rots and decomposes, and produces harmful gasses. This contributes to the greenhouse effect and also global warming, which is a major problem.
  • Did you know that most newspapers and magazines that end up in landfills are still readable, and just waste space in landfills?
  • What can we do to help!?
  • Recycle!
  • When you recycle, the pollution caused by landfills decreases, and the overall waste in our community will decrease.
  • Most of recycling's greenhouse benefits come from paper, aluminum, and cardboard , so it's always important to recycle those!
  • Thanks, Sebastian! Now I know how important it is to recycle!
