Storyboard Text

  • One day Timmy was skateboarding. He fell off a hurt his foot so he went to the doctor.
  • No, I fell of my skateboard and I really hurt my foot.
  • Hi Dr.Green.
  • Hi Timmy! Is everything ok ?
  • Dr. Green checked his foot to make sure everything was okay.
  • That is better than breaking it, right?
  • What is the circulatory and skeletal systems?
  • Especially your circulatory and skeletal systems.
  • Much better! When you break a bone it takes a long time to heal because your systems all have to work together.
  • It looks like you sprained it so you will need to wear a boot for a few days.
  • Your skeletal system is your bones. It works to structure your body. It also helps to keep your organs safe.
  • Ohhh! What does the circulatory system do?
  • How do they work together?
  • The circulatory system helps your blood stay oxygenated and circulate throughout you whole body.
  • Wow! That is so cool! So without our bones we wouldn't have some of the cells in our blood.?
  • Yes. In your bones you have bone marrow which helps produce the cells inside you blood. You bones help create red and white blood cells.
  • Timmy learned a lot of information from Dr.Green during his doctor visit.
  • Right! Bye Timmy!
  • Bye Dr. Green! Thank you for teaching me about the skeletal and circulatory systems.
