  • George Washington grew up on a plantation where he learned all about the trades of growing tobacco, stock raising and surveying. He was home-schooled from age of 7-15 and was the oldest of 6 kids.

  • George Washington was the Major General and Commander in Chief of the Continental Army that fought and won the war.

  • General Washington wasn't known for his genius on the battle field but for how he could hold his troops together and motivate them.

  • He did many things that helped create America. He wrote and signed the constitution, was a commander in the war, and was in the first continental congress.
  • Besides helping out so much in the very beginning of the country, George Washington was liked so much that they decided to make him the first president of the United States of America.
  • George Washington had only one tooth left when he was inaugurated a president. He had his teeth replaced by the teeth of his slaves, animal teeth and other assorted metals. He enjoyed math and farming.
