Storyboard Text

  • Look dad there are twins on that bench.
  • Hi!
  • I'm lytic and this is lysogenic.
  • How do you tell them apart?
  • Well they were named after the lysic and lysogenic cycles and that's all we need to be able to tell them apart.
  • Well what's the difference between the lytic and lysogenic cycles?
  • The difference between the lytic and lysogenic cycles is that the lysogenic cycle inserts some of its DNA into the cell, so that when the cell splits, it creates more of the virus.
  • Wow, that's so cool. Nice meeting you.
  • Yeah and in the lytic cycle, the virus enters a cell and multiplies itself until the cell bursts.
