- As Bud walks to Grand Rapids, he comes across a man that has spotted him all alone. The man offers Bud food in exchange for him to tell him who he is and where he is from. Bud gets in his car and notices that the box in the car is labelled blood. He believes the man is a vampire and doesn't let him in the car. Bud turns on the engine and drives away, the "vampire" chasing behind.
- The man explained that he had the box for the hospital. Bud believed him and let him get in the car. He fell asleep during the drive and when he woke up he was in the man's house. He met his family and they gave him clothes and breakfast. They talked and teased and Bud noticed that Lefty Lewis and his family were different from his family because they talked a lot.
- Lefty Lewis drove Bud to the place Mr. Calloway was performing. Bud walked inside and when he saw him, he knew something was off. Bud didn't have the option to turn back, so he stayed put. He walked up the stage and said," I know its you" The band members and Herman had no idea what he was talking about.
