The girls are in the woods practicing witchcraft. Their is dancing (which is forbidden in their religon), a girl running around naked, the drinking of blood, and a "witch pot".
Elizabeth and John Proctor have an akward dry talk showing that their relationship is weakining over John's affair with Abby.
Parris, Abby and the Putnams talk about Betty's situation and what is best for Parris to do, but Parris doesn't want to ruin his reputation alot of people already don't like him. The Putnams also admit to telling their daughter to go to tituba to conjuer the spirits of their dead children.
