In the paleolithic age, hominins were nomads, they were people who followed the food source to survive and they did not have that much food, so that was they're goal, to get more food.
The first step into the Neolithic age was domesticating animals and keeping them in fields and pastures.
The second step into the paleolithic age was agriculture, or farming crops. They now had a new way of making food and they didn't have to follow a food source anymore.
Agriculture was important and without it we would not have any vegetables or fruit because we have to grow these things and today we would still be nomads because we did not have any crops to survive off of and we would've not had a stable food supply.
Domesticating animals was also very important. Without domesticating animals, we wouldnt have eggs or milk, and it would be harder to get the meat since we butcher.
