  • Exposition
  • The exposition of the story is it begins in the wizarding world of present day in England-with a bit of a catch-up from the last book.It seems Lord Voldemort is gaining strength again. The main characters of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Albus Dumbledore are reintroduced.
  • Rising Action
  •  The rising action of the story is a Hogwart’s student, Katie Bell, is cursed and Ron is poisoned. Both incidents were intended to affect others. Harry is sure that Draco Malfoy and Severus Snape are involved with the starting the problems.
  • The climax of the story is when the famous Albus Dumbledore is killed.  Severus Snape did the horrible act to insure his promise to Narcissa Malfoy.  Also Snape killed Albus to show Voldemort that he wasnt going to betry him., and in hopes gain back his trust.

  • Falling Action
  • The falling action of the story is the loss of the famous Albus Dumbledore.  This leaves hogwarts with a uncertain leader(Headmaster) . Also Harry discover the identity of the half blood prince. 
  •  Dumbledore’s Army of those faithful to Hogwart’s and fighting evil re-group. The strength of their bond, their love, and their commitment is demonstrated as Harry says he will find the Horcruxes and not return to Hogwarts. Therefore, the purpose of the next book is shown.
