DT Homework How to Use a Belt Sander Storyboard
This storyboard does not have a description.
Prepare your wood to be sanded and put on the necessary equipment.
Start the motor of your belt sander, but hold it away from the wood you want to sand until the motor is at full speed.
Bring the back of the belt sander down onto the wood, making sure you have a firm grip on the handle at the back, which is used to control the sander.
After bringing the back of the sander down, start moving the device forward.
Bring the rest of it on to the wood as smoothly as possible, trying to avoid chips of wood flying everywhere.
Move the sander back and forth evenly across the woof, using the front handle as guide. Keep doing this until you are happy with the shape of your wood.
