Storyboard Text

  • "This same should be the voice from Friar John. Welcome from Mantua" (V. ii. 2-3) .
  • "Holy Franciscan Friar, brother, ho!" (V. ii. 1).
  • There has been a mix-up. My messenger thought I had the Plaque.
  • Did Romeo Receive his letter? What did he say?
  • "I could not send it -here it is again-" (V. ii. 14).
  • "Who bare my letter, then, to Romeo?" (V. ii. 13).
  • Friar John meets Friar Lawrence at his cell.
  • "Brother, I will go and bring it thee" (V. ii. 23).
  • This is very bad. The letter was full of order, not delight! This might do a lot of danger!
  • Friar Lawrence asks if his letter had been delivered, and Friar John tells him that there was a mix-up, due to his messenger thinking he had the plaque.
  • "Now must I to the monument alone. Within this three hours will fair Juliet wake. She will beshrew me much that Romeo Hath had no notice of these accidents" (V. ii. 24-27)
  • Friar Lawrence then asks who delivered his letter to Romeo. Friar John's response was that he could simply not send it.
  • Friar Lawrence explains how bad this could be. He explains that the letter was of content that was for order and not for delight. Friar John then exits.
  • Friar Lawrence is concerned and shows it in this line. He explains that he will go to Juliet's burial site to take her and explain why Romeo did not show up.
  • Friar Lawrence leaves to go to Juliet.
