  • My Life As A Turkey!'Gobble,Gobble'
  • The Aztecs in Mexico considered us Turkeys so important, they dedicated two religious festivals a year to us birds. Not 1! But 2! Isn't that awesome? I thought it was!
  • We were also used for sacred ceremonies. Our popularity among other tribes grew, and our Population had went through the roof! Our Population had spread far beyond Mexico by the time the first European explorers set foot here.
  • But Tribes like the Wampanoag's hunted us with bows and arrows. We were "called" by imitating our calls, and then some kids grabs us by hiding behind some logs or just shoot us.
  • US TOO!
  • In 1519, A Guy named Cortez and his fellow Spanish Conquistadors had found the Aztecs raising huexolotin around their homes. The Aztec Emperor named Montezuma, kept Turkeys in his famous Zoo. Like Me!
  • Man. This Sucks!
  • Finally! The Spaniards soon carried the savored "el pavo" back to Europe where they quickly became a popular dinner. Unfortunately, My Uncle Matthew , got shot and became a part of some Europeans Thanksgiving dinner.
