  • the theme of Persuasion. Marullus compared the people with sensless things like stones and made them feel guilty for pompey's death.
  • To touch Calpurnia, for our elders say,The barren, touched in this holy chase,Shake off their sterile curse.
  • When Ceasar asks Antony to touch calpurnia before the race because she'll be free from the curse of sterility it shows that Ceasar believes in superstition.
  • I have heardWhere many of the best respect in Rome,Except immortal Caesar, speaking of Brutus, And groaning underneath this age's yoke, Have wish'd that noble Brutus had his eyes.
  • Cassius tries to manipulate Brutus against Ceasars rule by appealing to Brutus sense of public responsibility towards the citizens.
