Rumble Fish by: S.E. Hinton Savanah Copenhaver
The theme of Rumble Fish is that life isn't fair. Rusty goes through a lot. Rusty is put in classes with dumb kids and not really taught anything because they think he is dumb.
Another theme of Rumble Fish is maturity, The Motercycle Boy grew up and knew that drinking was bad and fighting was bad and stopped doing it, he knew that he needed to get out of that place.
A character trait of Rusty James is daring, he says, "Split up, or the cops will be on our tail." meaning he knows he is doing bad but is trying to not get caught.
Another character trait of Rusty James is careless, he stole medicine from the drugstore, which shows he doesn't care if he gets arrested for stealing.
I liked this book because it was always a mystery of what would happen next. It also always kept you on the edge of your seat, always wondering what Rusty would get into next.
