Storyboard Text

  • Amadine takes Elazar back to her home. She doesn't tell him that she might be his daughter yet.
  • This house looks familiar, but how?
  • As soon as Elazar enters Amadine's home and sees Hyman and Ahuva, he realises that Amadine is his daughter. Amadine is very angry and runs away to Melkiel's house.
  • Elazar!
  • Amadine, yes it is true. I'm sorry, please let me explain.
  • Hyman, Ahuva? Is it really you?
  • So it is true?! You are my real father? The one who left me?
  • Malkiel feels very sorry for Amadine and wants to make her happy again. They talk for a while and agree to get married and leave to go to Moab. Maura overhears this and gets very angry. She goes out and asks to talk to Amadine alone by the river.
  • I just met my real father.
  • Amadine, what's wrong?
  • Maura is very angry at everything that is happening and she starts shouting at Amadine and hitting her. Malkiel comes running towards them and is mad at his mother. He starts shouting at her for hurting Amadine.
  • Mother stop it! It was my idea to marry her. It is my decision, not yours!
  • How dare you! You have no right to marry my son! You are an Israelite!
  • Amadine! Wait! Please before you leave, just let me explain, if you still want to go to Moab, you can but please just listen to me first.
  • Elazar, Hyman and Ahuva has been looking everywhere for Amadine. They found her just before Amadine and Melkiel were about to leave for Moab.
  • Fine
  • They all went back to their home, and Elazar explained why he left Amadine.
  • Ok, I forgive you. Malkiel, if it is okay with you, I would still love to get married but can we please stay in Israel?
  • Amadine, your mother died when you were very young. After she died, we were alone, and I didn't know how to take care of you. I wanted you to be safe and have a good life. I thought that you would be better off with your Aunt and Uncle, so I left you with them. I just wanted the best for you. Please forgive me.
  • Of course.
