  • The architecture in the Hellenistic Age:  -larger and grander building  -a style to glorify the rulers  
  • Art and Architecture
  • This impacted the society because the building were grander than the building of Greece. The rulers were looked as godlike figures by the people of society. 
  • Culture
  • -Stoicism is to avoid desires and disappointments by accepting what life brought -women and slaves are morally equal   
  • The impact of society is that Stoicism protected the rights humans and was the rise of new schooling. Later on the philosophy influenced Romans and Christian thinkers.  
  • Legacy
  • -Created an oath to set standard for doctors -The calculation of the sides of a right triangle -The finding of the Earth is on a axis and orbits -Heliocentric: sun-centered solar system 
  • This impacted the society because the creation and ideas are still used today. Also the people of the Hellenistic civilization were able to produce and find more information about the world and influenced other civilization after it. 
  • -Women were not unequal in society but were morally equal because of the power of reason
  • Women 
  • This impacted society because women had certain rules and were categorized with salves. The women of the society were all considered equal due to the stoics thinking that everyone was morally equal because they all contained the power of reason.
  • Math and science
  •  -The formula to calculate the relationship between the side in a right triangle -The earth orbited and was on an axis -The Elements was written and used as basic geometry 
  • This had an impact on society because basic geometry is based of the book "The Elements." Today we still use the formula to figure the relationship between the side of the right triangle. The studies on the Earth is still used and includes that it is on a axis and orbits. 
  • Hippocrates studied illness and founded cures. He also set up an oath for doctors. 
  • Medicine
  • This had an impact on society because they were able to find how they could reduce the illness in society. The oath is still used in today's world for doctors to protect the privacy of patients.
