Storyboard Text

  • Conflict
  • I don't want to hear anything about frindle anymore
  • But Mrs. Granger I really didn't have a frindle with me
  • Character
  • Hi my name is Nick!
  • Theme
  • This conflict is between Mrs. Granger and Nick. The conflict is man vs. man.  The conflict is about how Nick kept using the new word frindle and Mrs. Granger didn't like it. So Mrs. Granger started assigning bad punishments and that made the kids want to say the word even more.
  • Summarizing
  • Nicholas Allen, go to the principal's office right now. I'm not putting up with this anymore.
  • I chose Nick because Nick is one of the main characters in the story and he made up the word frindle. He was also in a lot of drama about the frindle business.
  • My Own Word
  • Polphin
  • This theme in the book frindle is about friendship leads to happiness. I chose this theme because at the end of the story Mrs. Granger admitted that she actually thought the word frindle was a good idea so then they became better friends.
  • My Name
  • Nick wanted people to start using the word frindle more often. But the teachers didn't like it. So the teachers started giving bad consequences to the kids. Then that just made the kids want to say it even more.
  • Polphin I chose the word Polphin because it is a combination of puppies and dolphins which are my two favorite animals.
