  • Hi everyone, today im going to be showing you how the cell cycle works.
  • First is interphase, the longest part of the cell cycle where the cell grows and the organelles inside increase. the DNA is also copied.
  • Next is Prophase. In this stage, the chromosomes start becoming visible. The nuclear membrane dissapears and the spindle fibers start to form
  • After that is Metaphase. the centriole pairs have now moved to opposite ends. the chromosomes are aslo now lined up in the middle.
  • The next step in the cell is Anaphase, where the chromatids at the centre have now split. The chromosomes are now moving towards opposite ends with help from spindle fibers
  • This part of the cell cycle is called Telopahse. Here, the Nuclear membranes form around two new sets of chromosomes and they become less visible. The cell also starts to pinch in the middle
  • The last part of the cell cycle is called Cytokinesis. During cytokinesis, the outside material starts to divide. The organelles inside are now divided into two equal halves.
