Storyboard Text

  • Every year, about 11,000 people die of gun related violence in America. In 2017 alone, 273 mass shootings occurred, killing over 12,000 people. This number is higher than that of terrorism, which causes around 17 deaths a year.
  • There are over 300 million guns in the U.S. today. Thats enough for every man, woman and child to have one gun each. However, of the 300 million citizens of the U.S., only a third own guns.
  • In order to lessen the amount of mass shootings in America, congress should form more strict gun laws as well as restrict which type of guns the average citizen should be allowed to own.
  • Everyone should be able to own a gun to protect themselves and their loved ones from harm...
  • ...But there is no legitimate reason that anyone in the U.S., aside from the police and military, should own a semi automatic or military grade weapon.
  • POLICE STATION
  • So to protect the people of the U.S. from further gun violence, changes must be made to ensure the safety of the American people.
