In the story the monsters or due on maple street, power of suggestion happens a lot. One piece of evidence to support my theme is in scene one. In scene one the neighborhood thinks charlie is the one that not like them because he saw Pete Van horn and that he was a monster, so he shot him dead. The people thought that Pete Can horn new who the different one was and charlie was scared to know who, that's why he shot him. Another power of suggestion is in scene two where they blame Tommy because he knew and had a feeling that the monsters were coming/ there. In the third scene they blamed Steve because his wife told the neighborhood that he works on some kind of radio at night.
