hey all! today we're going to be going over a day in the life in ancient rome: children edition!
while most girls stay at home with their mothers, boys go to school daily. education was taken very seriously, a lot of subjects they learned are still taught today.
While mothers and daughters did houshold chores and sons were at school, many fathers worked during the day.
After school and work, most men and boys headed to the bathhouses, which required only a small fee. Here, people gathered to bathe and talk among friends. The bathhouses included gardens, gymnasiums, libraries, etc.
After spending some time at the baths, most would head home for their biggest meal of the day, eaten somewhere between our lunch time and dinner time.
