Storyboard Description

The ancient Chinese believed that at the beginning of time there was nothing but black emptiness. There were no oceans and mountains, no sun and moon and the Earth and the sky were separate. The universe resembled a large egg. Pangu the giant was born inside the egg and separated the egg into two parts: yin and yang. Yin became the Earth and yang was the sky. Pangu stood on the Earth and held up the sky. The Earth and sky grew so large that they would never again meet. When Pangu died, the parts of his body became different parts of nature. His breath became the wind and the clouds, his tears became the rivers and his voice became thunder. Like some other early civilisations, the Chinese believed that humans were created out of mud by a god. They believed in legendary figures, such as those who developed agriculture and medicinal remedies and those who controlled the rivers.
