  • Our independence shall be called the Fredonion Rebellion!
  • 1825- Haden Edwards had just lost his empressario contract so he decided to declare independence from Mexico
  • 1827-1829- Mexico heard of the chaos happening in Texas with Haden Edwards so they sent Mier y Teran over.
  • These settlers disrespect our ways!
  • Bring over some soldiers! We need some new rules around here.
  • Stop immigration from the United states!
  • No more trade with the U.S.
  • 1830- Mexico passed the law of April 6, 1830 based off of the report Mier y Teran gave.
  • Set up Military forts!
  • We're loyal to Mexico, but not its government
  • 1832- Led by Santa Anna, the Turtle Bayou Resolutions was a statement declaring the people loyal to Mexico but not their government
  • 1833- November 1833, Stephen Austin was arrested and put in prison for a year unaware people were so against him.
