Jill's mom, Robin, decided to try to replace dad's empty space with a baby and Jill is not happy about it.

The baby's mother, Mandy, arrives and Robin welcomes her. Jill is still upset but also confused because she's not sure how she should adress the situation.

Jill is awfully cold towards Mandy at first while she's making herself at home. Jill tries to explain why she's like this to her friends and boyfriend but none of them seem to fully grasp why Jill acts this way.
Jill slowly starts to care about Mandy's wellbeing but doesn't want to come to terms with it until one night, Mandy goes missing. Jill finds her at a train station a runs to her. Jill immediately apologizes to Mandy for making her feel so unwelcome, telling her that she actually cares about her.
Mandy and Lola, her baby, were adopted into Jill's family. Jill and Mandy now have a loving sister-sister relationship. After Lola was born, all of them traveled back to Mandy's origins to give Lola's father a chance to see her.
