George was "small and quick" while Lennie was "huge with wide sloping shoulders"

"Jesus Christ, you're a crazy bastard". George is easily annoyed at Lennie's stupidity.
"I could pet it with my thumb while we walked along" Lennie has a fondness for soft animals but he unintentionally kills them
Loneliness: "Guys like us who work on ranches are the loneliest guys in the world"
Friendship: "But I wouldn't eat none, George, I'd leave it all for you."
"We could've had a nice ranch to live at if you hadn't screwed up!"
Prediction: Lennie will eventually do something stupid that will cause him and George to get fired.
