We worked together to fully realize the design aspects of our game. We wanted our game to feel like a early console game with simple controls and fun but basic rules and goals.
The first prototype had you jumping on platforms to collect the boulders.
The second prototype was more puzzle based. This is when we decided on gameplay consisting of guiding boulders to their correct exits by creating ramps.
The second prototype returned errors often. This was due our poor choice in programming flavor. We decided to return to the simpler functional programming of our first prototype instead of fixing the object oriented programming of our current model.
Our third prototype is fully functional. We won states, and we're excited for Nationals.
