After the Greeks came together and defeated Persia, a golden age started.
Athens formed an alliance, the Delian League. They all agreed that if Persia attacked
again they would help protect each other. They were all said to be equal.
The Delians and Peloponesians declared war on each other when Athens banned trade with a Peloponesian island.
But soon the Athenians took over the Delian league, forcing
the other city states to give them supplies and to stay.
