  • Fort Sumter is an island fortification located in Charleston Harbor, South Carolina. It was constructed in 1829 as a coastal. It was the most famous place of the first shots of the Cilvil War.

  • It occurred in September 17, 1862 at Antietam creek in Maryland. General Robert E. Lee's army of northern Virginia against Union General George McClellan's army of the Potomac and was the time when Lee's army invade the north.

  • The spring of 1862 until July 1863 during the American Civil War. Union forces waged a campaign to take the confederate of Vicksburg Mississippi. It lay on the east bank of the Mississippi river.

  • On April 9, 1865, near the town of Appomattox Court House, Virginia, Confederate General Robert E. Lee surrendered his Army of Northern Virginia to Union General Ulysses S. Grant. Then Lee had abandoned the Confederate capital of Richmond and the city of Petersburg.
