Storyboard Text

  • Jesse Owens is at the 1936 Olympics. He is black and many people do not support him.
  • Jesse Owens was just thinking, but the race started! Everyone already started running in front of him, while he realized what was truly going on.
  • I did it! I proved everyone wrong and changed the world. I will be remembered forever!
  • He ran. He ran like never before, faster than ever. Each step, each stride, was calculated, made for maximum speed and technique. He got in front of everyone. He was in first place, and he was smiling, happier than ever before.
  • You can't do it!
  • I bet you won't make the shot!
  • All of the discrimination he faced, all of the people who bullied him, he was proving them wrong. He just kept running. Past the ribbon that signified victory, and winning! But Jesse Owens just kept on running. He already won. He already was the best in the world. But he didn’t notice. He just kept running, until finally he stopped.
  • Jesse Owens proved everyone wrong! He proved Hitler wrong, he proved all of the racist people who discriminated him wrong, and he just inspired millions of people around the world. He proved that black people can do anything, and that is why he was one of the most influential black people in history.
  • The theme is that anybody can do anything. You just have to want it bad enough. If you work hard, you can do anything. This is what Jesse Owens did, he didn't listen to all of the haters, he just followed his dream, and made history.
  • You suck at basketball!
