The play takes place in the city of Verona. The Capulet and Montague families are rival families and have been in conflict for a long time.

One day, a servant of the Capulet family is sent out to invite people to the Capulet feast. He mistakenly invites Romeo and his friends to the party, not knowing that they are Montagues.
They all go together and Romeo meets Juliet at the party. They fall in love with each other and share kisses.
