  • Third Estate is Maltreated
  • This has gone too far, we need to be treated better!
  • The American Revolution
  • We the people...
  • He spends money selfishly and lavishley, eventually putting France into debt. He eventually raises taxes in an attempt to resolve this issue.
  • Formation of the National Assembly
  • We need to reform our government!
  • The 3rd estate, largely comprised of peasants, began to become more heavily taxed and ignored by the 1st and 2nd estates, as well as the government.
  • Bastille
  • The colonists felt that they were underrepresented in the government and fought for independence from Great Britain. This inspired the 3rd estate to do the same.
  • Napolian Bonaparte
  • The 3rd estate, becoming increasingly frustrated with their role in society, recognized the fact that they held a large amount of power considering the fact that they made up a large amount of the population. The formation of the National Assembly was the first deliberate action of the French Revolution.
  • The 3rd estate raided Bastille and gathered a large amount of weaponry and other supplies. In doing so, they took away power from the king and queen.

  • After a period of chaos and disorder, Napoleon brings France together under his rule. This act ends the French revolution.
