As a tour guide ,my job is to show you the past. Today we will take a trip back in time to Ancient china.
There is lots to know about this civilizations culture!
The two major physical features are the Yellow River and the Yangtze River. The Yellow River is important because it is the second longest river in China. The Yangtze River is important because the drainage basin of the Yangtze covers 20% of China.
Now lets talk about the religion of this civilization.
When Emperor Qin Shi Haung ordered construction of the Great Wall around 221 B.C. It took about 200 years to build the wall. It is important to them because it helped keep out northern invaders.
How has this civilization influenced ours?
You guys may have not realized this but this civilization has influenced ours in many ways.
There are three major daily life facts about my civilization. Women were considered much less valuable than men. Woman had no say in who they would marry. Sometimes when a baby girl was born she was put outside to die if the family didn't want it. This rule was okay in their society.
Buddhism was based on the teachings of Buddha. Buddhists believe in a ''rebirth'' of the self. They also believe that that the cycle of rebirth is complete once a person lives the right life.
This civilization has invented lots of useful things that has helped our civilizations today. They invented things like the mechanical clock, paper, and the compass. If you've read a book or newspaper you've came across amazing inventions from this civilization.
