The great Chicago fire is a major wildfire that lasted for two days in 1871.
now there is no sure scale to determine how bad a wildfire is, but there is a as of 2013 there was a scale in progress.
some things you can do to prepare for this drsaster is: 1. talk about where to go if this disaster strikes 2. point out emersay exits. 3. you can carry a safe card in a wallet 4.keep all important documents in a flash drive or something of the sorts 5.have a radio brocast 6. talk about back up meeting places.
This is what the city of chicago probably looked like after the fire.
the best place to hide, if you are trapped, in a wildfire is in a body of water
DO NOT enter the building until an official says you can.
if there is not a body of water look of a clearing or a rock bed
They use helicopters to drop a foam on the fires to suffocate them. they also use drones to spot and put out fires. after a fire when you enter a place wet down the ashes you they aren't in the air. also, don´t put a wet cloth over you mouth, moist air is just as bad for your lungs.
