  • The war was fought between the French Indians and the European colonists in 1756 and ended in 1763
  • The war was caused because of tensions between the English colonists and the French who both wanted to settle in the Ohio river valley 
  • There were 4 major battles of this war -General Braddock at Fort Duquesne (1755) -Massacre at Fort William Henry (1759) -Battle of Quebec (1759) -Fall of Montreal (1760)
  • Treaty Of Paris France gives up all territory Britain gained control of all land east of the Mississippi river Spain gained land to the west of the Mississippi
  • The British had more land after war, which meant that they would have more access to resources and land to expand on. England owed a lot of money in debt which they will have to pay off for a long time
