  • China will be a Republic but I will rule them all!
  • May 4th Movement 1919
  • You promised a Republic and tried to create an empire, this is what you deserve
  • Nationalists vs communists 1927
  • Nationalism is the best for our country
  • Communism is the best for us!
  • As trust in the Qing dynasty thins, the Chinese people, led by ideas of Sun Yat Sen and the military of Yuan Shikai, the Qing dynasty was overthrown and established into a republic, with Yuan Shikai as president
  • The Long March
  • You don't belong in this country, neither do your ideas
  • Yuan Shikai tries to become emperor of the developing republic, and another revolt from Nationalists in the south, led by Sun Yat Sen overthrow the power hungry Shikai
  • Japanese Invasion
  • We must defeat them together
  • In the revolution, communism ideas and nationalist ideas joined together to fight the war, now two polar opposite ideas conflict in this new country.
  • A larger population of Nationalist people and ideas are able to chase the communists out of their reach. Communist leaders flee to the outer parts of the country in order to be safe
  • A Japanese invation of the country causes the two ideas to join together in one fight against a common enemy. The nationalist supporters suffer larger loss while the communist ideas grow.
