Odysseus and his men can see Ithaca their home but their is a problem. Odysseus was given a bag of winds from Aeolus. Aeolus told Odysseus not to open the bag. Odysseus decided not to tell his men what was in the bag and told himself he wasn't going to go to sleep until he gets to Ithaca.
Odysseus by accidentally went to sleep and the men looked inside the bag thinking it is gold. When they opened the bag the winds they are taken to the island of Circe!!
The island of Circe is beautiful and Odysseus sends some of his men to scout out the island. His men don't want to especially because of what has happened in the past. The men were right because those men won't make it back so easily.
Odysseus's men went to the house of Circe because they needed food. Circe turned the men into pigs. One of the men escaped and went to tell Odysseus. On the way Hermes meets up with Odysseus and gives him Moly so he can save his men.
Odysseus goes to the house of Circe and counteracts her magic with the Moly and makes her change his men back to normal.
Circe changed the men from pigs back to normal men but put them in a trance. Odysseus and his men stay with Circe for a year. After a year Odysseus begs Circe to let them leave. She agrees but says they have to first go to the land of the dead and hear a prophecy from the ghost Tiresias.
