Setting: Mrs. Stevenson's bedroom at her house on Second Avenue at nighttime Characters: Mrs. Stevenson, Sergeant Duffy, and George Mrs. Stevenson is trying to call her husband who is at work.
Mrs. Stevenson accidentally entered a telephone line where two men (one of which is George) are talking about killing a woman at 11:15 on Second Avenue.
Mrs.Stevenson constantly tries to tell the operators about the murder that she heard is going to happen and finally gets across to the police after the hard struggle with operators.
The police can't help Mrs. Stevenson because it might be a hoax. Then she receives a telegram revealing that her husband has left for urgent business. Causing her to call a hospital but they cant help her when she realizes it's 11:14 P.M.
At 11:14 Mrs. Stevenson hears a noise and then realizes someone is in her house and is filled with dread.
There's someone in this house!
It's implied Mrs. Stevenson meets Death at 11:15 on Second Avenue
