Although the victory at New Orleans was a feat, it was also a useless battle, because before that, the Treaty of Ghent was signed, creating peace.
In Mexico, the revolt of the Spanish rule was inspired by a priest named Miguel Hidalgo. He persuaded his country to stand up for themselves, and to become free from Spain.
Revolts also took place in Venezuela and Argentina
Monroe introduced the Monroe Doctrine to Congress, where he stated that North and South America will never be ruled by Britain.
The nations of North and South America are not avalable for colonization by Europe.
The Monroe Doctrine showed the world that the US was no longer a weak group of states. Rather, they were a true, powerful country.
