Hi Kriti! What a pleasant surprise! What brings you here?
Hi Shana! Just waiting for a friend. I was just thinking about... Our childhood. My father ill-treated my mother everyday, and she never knew it was wrong.
I agree. The times when women were exploited everyday were horrible. I remember, my neighbour used to teach my brother driving, who is 2 years younger, but he never taught me. Said I was foolish; but I knew that it was because of me being a girl. There is another horrific memory; my husband's sister was killed within minutes of being born.
Hi Shana and Kriti! I also agree. When I got married, my in-laws never allowed me to wear anything but a burqa. I felt dominated, and so I fought back and stopped listening.
Yes, these days the situation is a lot better! The government has made us all well aware of our rights and given us strength to fight against any wrongs! We all are in a lot better place than yesterday.
Look at this...
Tribal Women in Madhya Pradesh denied land of their husbands, feminist helps fight against this injustice...
There is still so much discrimination!
Change is on its way! We all must work hard to see change quicker!
