Storyboard Text

  • The Revolution had started when people in higher estates, especially the King, were enjoying their lives. Meanwhile, the peasants outside couldn’t even afford bread when the King could afford cake. The peasants had an outrage, the estates were not fair. So they rebelled against the hierarchy, causing the French Revolution to begin.
  • The First Estate (the clergy)- The First Estate was the smallest in number. About 130,000 people were in it. Priests, bishops, monks, and nuns were included in it.
  • The Second Estate (the nobility)- 600,000 people consisted of this estate, the Nobles of Sword and Robe were contributed, who helped the government with protection and position.
  • The Third Estate (everybody else)- Largest in size, the Third Estate had 27 million people. Everyone else who isn’t in the First or Second Estate, were farmers, merchants, doctors, etc. About anyone who is seen in the streets. They had to pay all the taxes and did not have any money to afford bread.
