  • We'll do what we do with all our kids!!!
  • Little Robert was sent to a poor Irish home to live in because of his infancy. Robert began a stutter because of this at a very young age.
  • it'll be okay Robert...
  • Robert has always been fascinated with Galileo's belief that mathematics is a language of the world around us. But he couldn't really figure out something new.
  • How did Galileo figure this out???
  • When Robert was a teen almost adult he thought maybe mixing things together will create something new?
  • Maybe mixing things together will maybe create something new?!
  • By mixing these things together Robert made new things, he made modern chemistry.  Today it has made a huge impact in science.
  • I think I got it!
  • Boyle believed that chemistry – the behavior of substances – could be explained through the motion of atoms, which in turn could be understood through mechanics – Galileo’s mathematics of motion. Boyle was ultimately proved correct, because today we can understand chemistry mathematically, through quantum mechanics.
  • “Well, I see I am not designed to the finding out the Philosophers Stone, I have been so unlucky in my first attempts in chemistry.”
