Storyboard Description

The wedding at Cana is where Jesus performed his first of many miracles, this miracle was a sign of the good and greatness of love that God would give us through Jesus if we followed and believed in him. The old testament describes the relationship of a man and his wife as the relation between God and his people as God describes himself as the bridegroom for his people. It was not a coincidence that Jesus performed his first miracle at a wedding, as he was teaching the ways of God which was likened many times to a royal wedding. The miracle Jesus performed at Cana therefore is a sign God’s feast with humanity, his self-giving for man, has begun. In this way the setting of a wedding feast, becomes in its turn “the sign of another feast – that of the wedding of the lamb where he gives his body and blood at the request of the Church, his Bride”
