  • This battle was the first battle of the revolution and it was known as the shot heard around the world because this battle was a an important moment in the revolution
  • Germantown
  • This battle was fought atop of a hill where the americans were at the top. They were low on supplies and ammunition which is why they lost. This battle gave the americans a little confidence because they killed a lot of British troops that day. "Don't shoot until you see the white's of their eyes."
  • Saratoga 
  • George Washington was determined to win this battle which was a sneak attack. George thought if he won this it would give his men confidence after the battle of Bunker hill. He made it to the British fort of trenton and he caught the British troops sleeping and he and his men were very confident after that night. 
  • Yorktown 
  • This battle was fought in thick fog. This was confusing for the soldiers so confusing that they started attacking each other and firing at one another, which is known as friendly fire
  • The battle of saratoga was fought over fourteen days and was won by the Americans by surrender of the British
  • The battle of Yorktown was the final battle that was fought and the Americans won. The british were surrounded by the French and the Americans so they gave up but the British general never came out to surrender himself
