  • Act 3 scene 2 The News
  • Beautiful tyrant, fiend angelical!
  • Tybalt is gone and Romeo is banished. Romeo that killed him-he is banished

  • Act 3 Scene 3 The Banishment
  • Not body's death, but body's banishment
  • Ha, banishment? Be merciful, say "death"
  • Tybalt and Mercutio get into a duel because of the feud. Tybalt kills Mercutio, and Romeo avenges him by killing Tybalt.
  • Act 3 Scene 4 New Marriage
  • Commend me to your daughter
  • She shall be married to this noble Earl
  • The Nurse hears of this deadly event, and leads Juliet into thinking that Romeo is dead, but also confuses her by saying Tybalt is dead. Juliet is happy that Romeo is alive
  • Act 3 Scene 5 The Dispute
  • Now, by Saint Peter's Church, and Peter too, he shall not make me there a joyful bride
  • Romeo goes into hiding with the protection of Friar Lawrence. Romeo is given the knowledge that he is banished, and portrays that he would rather be dead than banished.
  • Lord Capulet is depressed of Tybalt's death, and decides to ask Paris to marry his daughter two years earlier than expected. Lord Capulet believes this is a great plan for Juliet
  • Lord Capulet tells Juliet of the arranged marriage and she doesn't accept. Her parents rage and everyone storms out of the room; even the nurse doesn't agree.
  • Never after look me in the face. Speak not; reply not; do not answer me
