Storyboard Text

  • After the news of her marriage to Paris, Juliet sees no other way other than to kill herself. Friar Lawerence stops her and devises a plan for her to live with Romeo in Manuta.
  • Rather than killing yourself, how about you agree to the wedding. Then, drink a sleeping potion , act dead while I send word to Romeo and he will retrieve you from the tomb, so you can live with him and be free.
  • Alright, I will do this, for our love.
  • Continuing with the plan, Juliet goes to her parents and repents for her actions and agrees to marry Paris. Her father is so happy he decides to move the wedding to tomorrow.
  • This is splendid! Why not move the wedding to tomorrow since you're now willing to go through with it.
  • Father, I am dearly sorry for my behavior earlier. Now that I've had time to think, I will marry Paris!
  • Will this work? Is Friar a man of his word? What if I wake up in the tomb alone with nobody coming? I shall surely die of madness!
  • That night, Juliet's doubts surface and she questions Friar Lawerence's intentions, while what ifs fill her mind. In the end she concludes she must do this.
  • No. I must do this. Here's to Romeo!
  • After her vision of Tybalt calling out Romeo's name and toasting to Romeo, she downs the bottle of sleeping potion.
  • The next day, the whole house is rushing to finish preparations. Once Paris and the musicians arrive, Lord Capulet sends the nurse to retrieve Juliet.
  • Now that the musicians and Paris have arrived, Nurse go send for my daughter.
  • After hearing the nurse's wails, Lord and Lady Capulet come to see their daughter dead in her room. Everyone is devastated. The dramatic Irony is we, the audience, know Juliet is sleeping but think believe she's dead. Friar Lawerence reminds them that she is in a better place.
