This storyboard does not have a description.
•Imagery Example #1: The raven itself • The raven is black, which gives the audience a creepy and daunting image of the bird and adds to its disturbing character and purpose in the poem.
•Imagery Example #2: The narrator's dwelling • "Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December; And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor." •With this setting, Poe gives the audience a vision of the narrator's dark and shadow-filled chamber on a December night, a place destined for "unwanted visitors" to visit
•Imagery Example #3: The raven's placement •The raven not only shows its character through it's physical image, but it's location in the poem. •The raven is obviously a bird and is always flying above or away from the narrator, turning him weak and irritable •This shows the bird's image to be not a person, but some sort of supernatural being. This brings us to the next comic, which is the literary device of symbolism
