Gianna, do you understand what the teacher is talking about with the types of energy, I'm confused?
Yeah, I understand Katie and I'll help you to really understand the two types of energy Kinetic and Potential.
Oh, I think that I understand it now but then what is kinetic energy if potential is stored energy.
When the pitcher hasn't yet thrown the ball, the energy would be potential because the energy is currently stored but has the potential to be in motion, or kinetic.
Yeah I see that and I . . . I actually understand both of the energies. Potential has stored energy while Kinetic is the energy of motion. Thanks so much Gianna, you're the best.
Ok, um... Oh do you see how the pitcher just threw the ball and it's in the air, the ball has kinetic energy or the energy of motion and it has a large amount of kinetic energy because of it's velocity.
Yeah, totally and I still can't believe that you managed to help me remember the different energies and during a baseball game nonetheless.
That baseball game was really fun to watch, we should see their next home game, what do you think?
You know today was actually a really fun day also because I know that I won't fail science now.
Yeah that's how I feel in math, but science class tomorrow will be easy now that we both know the topic.
But yeah Mom, I feel really proud of myself today because I was able to help someone else learn something they needed to know, I was a tutor of sorts.
Oh, well that is terrific news and I'm so proud of you!
