  • Students are engaging with each other on the bus, socializing and catching up
  • Students in Class
  • Students continue to socialize, but the discussion changes to school related topics. What homework they have and what they think of the lesson they are currently working on in thier math class. The teacher observes this and decided to try somthing new...
  • Teacher Observing
  • The teacher informs the students that they will continue with their lesson they are working on, however they are going to change things up from their normal "lecture" style class. This class, they are going to get into groups of 2 or 3 and discuss their understanding of the lesson and some real world applications where it would be helpful
  • Class Sharing
  • The students look shocked but excited for the change, and begin to discuss what they know about the concept and exchange ideas about jobs it could relate to.
  • The teacher observes students leading the discussions in their own education and constructing new thoughts from ideas their peers are sharing
  • The students then share their ideas as a class, and begin an even more broad discussion furthering their understandings and engagement
