Hi, I'm Prudence Candall! I hate the education system.
I'm very lucky that I can go to school and get to go to college
I am rich and privileged!
Why can't we go to school?
This is so unfair!!!!
Its 1833 and I, Prudence Candall have been doing my best to fight for education rights. It started when I would see African Americans and young girls who were unable to get an education. I did my part in this reform by doing my best to create a school for those who can't receive an education.
I'm going to invite as many African American girls to join my school as I can, the more the marrier!
So glad I could help
Look at this school, its only filled with white males! Its not fair the only this handful of kids can get an education. The need for more public schools is necessary, this unfair situation makes people like Mann and I very angry.
Thank you so much!
Many kids are unable to get an education and are forced to work, or do chores. All because they are forbidden to go to a regular school. The amount of girls who can't go to high schools is shocking!
This movement not only made schools better in 1838, but also has made school what it is today! It allowed everyone to receive an education, and be able to even go to collage.
To try and help fix this problem, I built a school in Connecticut for African american girls to go to school at. As an abolitionist, I want whats best for others, because of this movement I ended up getting arrested, and the school was forced to close.
Because of what me and many others did, black law was repealed and kids of all races and gender could go to school, we also helped make more public schools as well.
This story effects me today because without it, I wouldn't be able to receive the education I deserve. Our school also wouldn't have the same community and people apart of it.
