Calathne: beautiful daughter of Rhea (goddess of nature) - fell in love with human who died - went to Zeus and had daughter named Thea
Calanthe raised Thea in the forest, away from the gods, her father, and Hera’s knowledge - Calanthe already knew many of the female goddess who befriended and taught Thea (Art was her BFF)
One day, while Calanthe was away attending some of her followers, the Muses were teaching Thea their gifts. While Erato was teaching her love poetry, Thea sang some verses. She had a beautiful voice, and Apollo, who came to gather his muses, heard it and fell in love with Thea. The muses knew of the god’s fickle love and Calanthe’s disapproval so they told her to run as far as she possibly could.
Thea kept running until she ran into a human (Greek) war camp. On the outskirts there was a man hunting. He accidentally saw Thea. He had unique golden eyes. Despite Thea’s protests, he convinced her to take her into town the next day so she could go back to her home (little did he know her home was not in Greece and she could not return)
Thea soon found out his name was Darius, and after the troops headed out, he and Ed to make their way back to town.
They get to town, by Darius realizes that Thea’s got nowhere to go. He offers to house her at his home, but she obviously refuses, he insists, saying that there are other females and she would be safe. She reluctantly agrees again and follows him home.
