The story begins with a flashback to the first day of kindergarten, walking into that classroom for the first time.
...dance, shout, read, listen, but always take time to live your life, because our lives are what we create them to be.
As I walk into my eight grade Spanish classroom for the last time, I already feel some emotions arise inside me. I knew that It was the last class period that I would ever spend with these people, but I didn't believe it.
The class finishes our final project of the year, and Ms. Ayala surprises us with an end of the year speech. This causes the majority of the class to release some of their emotions, but I am still holding mine in.
RESOLUTION / DENOUEMENT
As Ms. Ayala's words finally process in my mind, memories from the past year fly through my head, and I and use all of my strength to try and hold in my emotions. I try to convince myself that the year wasn't over yet.
I finally start to cry, which was almost relieving. I finally convinced myself that my last year in the Dual Language Emersion Program was coming to an end.
I realize that I need to be happy that I spent nine years of school with such amazing people, thanks to a talk that I had with Ms. Ayala.
